William Hopkins

Managing Director. William Hopkins has over 20 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the renewable energy industry. He led the sale and acquisition of over 3,800 MW of projects as well as the development and financing of projects in France, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Australia, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya and Turkey, including periods as Managing Director of RES Group subsidiaries in Italy, Sweden and Turkey.

Since 2013 he has managed Venturi Renewable Energy, a leader in M&A transactions in renewable energy and more recently securing Corporate Power Purchase Agreements for key clients.

Venturi is also working in the development of datacentres in Europe, including the successful development of datacentres in France, the Netherlands and Belgium. 

William is an aerospace engineer from the Universities of Bristol and Imperial College London, he is fluent in English and French with good knowledge of German and Spanish.

Jon Peltenburg

Data Centre Development Director:

Jon Peltenburg brings over 20 years expertise in spatial data, geographical information systems and software development.  He successfully founded and sold a software company specialising in the delivery of community information and mapping systems.  For the past 6 years he has been leading Venturi’s site search capabilities for datacentres across Europe demonstrating his skills in identifying and securing optimal locations for these critical facilities.

He is a graduate of Bristol University and Edinburgh University

Julien Ressmann

Director of Mergers and Acquisitions. Julien Ressmann has more than 20 years’ experience in Energy and Infrastructure, working both as principal investor and financial advisor in Europe and Asia. Julien started his career at HSBC in the Energy and Infrastructure Investment Banking team in London and Hong Kong, working on cross-border Energy and Utilities transactions. He later worked as principal investor for Riverstone backed wind developer Velocita.

During his career, Julien has advised large pension funds and YieldCos such as Cubico Sustainable, SwissLife, Greencoat and Santander on acquisitions of in-development and operational renewable projects and platforms. He has been involved in the whole lifecycle of projects: from development/planning stage, equipment/EPC contracting, structuring of Corporate PPAs, to financing, construction and operation of projects.

More recently, he has been active in construction interface management, data centre developments, as well as renewable projects in Southeast Asia.

He graduated from the Vienna University of Economics, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is fluent in English, French, German and proficient in Mandarin

Nancy Sun

Head of Operations. Nancy’s main focus on transaction support and corporate management.  Prior to Venturi, Nancy gained 6 years banking experience in Corporate Trust as Transaction Manager in London with the Bank of New York Mellon, Standard Chartered Bank and the U.S. Bank. Prior to that she gained 3 years of Corporate Finance transaction experience from leading international law firms, Skadden in London and Herbert Smith Freehills in Shanghai.

Nancy is a graduate of the University of Oxford and London Business School.  She is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English, German and Cantonese.

Misha Kolosov

Senior Consultant Mergers and Acquisitions. Misha Kolosov has over 20 years' experience in financial management and investor relations. He has worked on a number of international projects including IPOs and debt financing. He has modelled and valued multiple renewable energy sector projects across Europe and Africa. Misha holds an MBA in finance from the Grenoble School of Management, France.
